Generator Support for homeowners

we are here to help you with your generator needs

Generator won't start? What to check first:
  1. Check the oil level. If the oil level is low add oil. Keep in mind if you are running your generator on an uneven surface it might trigger the low oil sensor even though there might be enough oil.
  2. Check the gas tank to make sure there is a sufficient amount of gas that remains in the gas tank. Every two months it is beneficial to replace it with fresh gas to avoid clogs and hard starts.
  3. The choke lever is not in the correct position. The choke of the engine should be set to “closed/ON” during a startup and then moved to “open/OFF” once the engine warms up. This feature should be near the air filter or integrated with the main control knob
  4. The fuel valve is clogged or closed. This happens if you have stored your generator for a long period of time or have not had it run for several months.
  5. Check the battery life as it may be dead and needs to be replaced
  6. Check the air filter; the air filter may need to be cleaned or replaced.

How often should I get my generator serviced?

What do I do with my standby generator during an outage?

Absolutely nothing! Your standby generator will kick power into your home automatically. To ensure proper operation and safety you can check the automatic transfer switch and confirm the generator is running at its expected performance.
